Custom WordPress Development or Custom Designed Website?

Which one is the world moving to?

Just some random thought while I was deciding if we shall add another CMS to our skillset besides WordPress that we already do well. I was considering Joomla and Drupal as both of them are based on PHP and MySQL and quite popular also.

While making a decision on which CMS to choose, I thought why not check how they are doing by checking the Trends and while checking various keywords, I also ran a small search for custom website design vs wordpress theme design and it certainly is interesting to know how they are doing.

WordPress which was born in 2003 and recently celebrated its 10th birthday has been doing well, actually way better than the custom website design as per Google Trends.

What you see above is a real time report using Google Trends and at the time of posting this, I can see that there are only 24 searches for custom website design for every 100 searches for wordpress theme design. And with this, I think we will stay only with WordPress as a CMS and will further improve our skills on WordPress Development.
